A former Edo State Deputy Governor under the administration of Professor Oserheinmen Osunbor, and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Lucky Imasuen, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Imasuen announced his defection during an event at Urokpota Hall in Benin, the state capital.
Joining in the defection were the State Deputy Chairman of the PDP, Christopher Adesotu; a former member of House of Representatives, Mr. John Abolagba, and thousands of their supporters.
The former leader of the PDP in Edo South, who was received by Governor Adams Oshiomhole, said it was no longer news that the opposition party had fallen apart, adding that he was convinced that the APC had proven its worth as a performing party in the state.
