Tade Ogidan’s movie titled “Gold Statue” and its lead actor, Gabriel Afolayan won big at the 11th edition of the Best Of Nollywood awards held at the Coronation Hall inside the Kano State Government House on Saturday, December 14. During the ceremony, Tade Ogidan’s film was named Movie of the Year while Gabriel Afolayan won the award for the Best Actor. “Gold Statue” also earned the award for the movie with the best use of sound as well as the director of the year. Other winners at the awards ceremony were Ebele Okaro, Deyemi Okanlawon, Kunle Afolayan, and Hadiza Gabon. A lifetime achievement award was presented to Sadiq Daba by Governor Ganduje and he was present to collect it.
