German Chancellor Angela Merkel has arrived in Nigeria, two days after the British Prime Minister Theresa May visited President Muhammadu Buhari.
The German leader was received by his Nigerian counterpart at the Aso Villa in Abuja.
Famzn News learned from the Nigerian Presidency that Buhari and the German leader would attend a business roundtable shortly after.
Merkel was accompanied to Nigeria by a German Business delegation.
The German team has held a meeting with the Nigerian delegation led by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah.
Nigerian Ambassador to Germany, Yusuf Tuggar, as well as top officials of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and other government agencies attended the meeting.
It was gathered that a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the German-African Business Association and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).
