While the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine of the new BMW M3 and M4 doesn't provide the bellow of the previous V8, its use of forced induction has made both models particularly popular among tuning companies.

In stock form, that engine delivers a total of 425 hp however, as part of B&B Automobiltechnik's Stage 1 upgrade package, that figure rises to 490 hp thanks to some ECU modifications. With an affordable price tag of 1,798 euros, this kit is certainly intriguing however, the fun doesn't stop there.

For the stage 2 package, B&B modifies the turbochargers, fits larger exhaust downpipes, a revised ECU, improved charge air cooler and a higher-flow intake tract. All told, power jumps to a significant 540 hp after these upgrades costing 2,950 euros.

Catering to those on a continued quest for more and more power, a stage 3 kit is also available that increases power to 580 hp and sees torque jump to 553 lb-ft. When an M4 is outfitted with this package, it'll hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.5 seconds and 200 km/h (124 mph) in 11.2 seconds.

Other upgrades offered by B&B include a supplementary oil cooler system, adjustable suspension kit, lowering springs, adjustable KW coilovers, bespoke brakes and 20-inch wheels.
