Ryan Giggs has come out of retirement to join the likes of Paul Scholes, Ronaldinho and more in making his debut in the Indian Premier Futsal.
The Welshman ended a 29-year association with Manchester United earlier in June and has now joined his former team-mate Scholes in India for the competition.
He is joined by Hernan Crespo and futsal legend Falcao and captains the Mumbai 5's in the inaugural edition of the tournament. Scholes leads Bengaluru 5's while Ronaldinho heads up Goa 5's.
Giggs faced Falcao's Chennai, with Ronaldinho taking on Crespo's Kolkata, in the opening round of fixtures which run on an almost daily basis until the July 24 final. Scholes is in action on Saturday.
