The France international has reiterated his commitment to Diego Simeone's side and says he is hoping to score more goals than he did last season and win the Champions League

Antoine Griezmann has once again asserted that he does not want to leave Atletico Madrid and says a return to France to play for Paris Saint-Germain is not something he is thinking about.

The France international has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Diego Simeone’s side with Chelsea believed to be keen on signing the 24-year-old.

However, Griezmann insists he is focussed on winning trophies with Atleti and has no intention of leaving the Vicente Calderon any time soon.

"My goals are to try to go as far as possible in the Champions League and then win the European Championship. I do not want to leave," he told RMC.

"On a personal level, I will try to do better than last year in terms of goals. I hope to exceed the number 24. I am confident and more and more complete as a player."

Griezmann was also asked about the possibility of returning to his home country to play for Ligue 1 giants PSG, but the in-form forward says it is not something he is considering.

"You never know in football, but a return to France is not a topic at all," he added.

"He [Simeone] asks a lot of the players, a lot of intensity in training. Thanks to him, I finish matches feeling better physically and I also improved myself tactically.”

"In La Liga, our goal is to finish in the top three but Barcelona are in extraordinary form. In the Champions League, we want to reach the quarter-finals."
