Vincent Kompany and Jan Vertonghen also miss out through injury as Marc Wilmots' men prepare to take on Portugal and Switzerland during the international break
Eden Hazard has not been named in Belgium’s latest squad due to a hip injury.
The 25-year-old was sidelined for Chelsea’s defeat to Everton in the FA Cup last Saturday, and will now miss Belgium’s upcoming friendlies against Portugal and Switzerland during the international break.
"I have told Hazard to have some rest,” Belgium coach Marc Wilmots said at his press conference on Friday.
"We are not too worried about him. He has a muscle injury. He'll be out for three to four weeks."
Also missing from Wilmots’ squad is Vincent Kompany, who suffered a calf injury in Tuesday’s draw with Dynamo Kyiv and has been ruled out for the rest of the season by the Belgium coach.
Everton striker Romelu Lukaku makes the squad but Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen misses the cut due to a ligament injury.
Also named in Wilmots’ squad is Eden Hazard’s younger brother, Thorgan, while Club Brugge’s 21-year-old centre-back Bjorn Engels makes the senior side for the first time and could be given his debut.
