Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas has ruled out a summer exit for Alexandre Lacazette, claiming the in-demand striker wishes to stay at the club.
The 25-year-old scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 during the 2015-16 season, prompting a €40 million bid from West Ham and further speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal.
Lyon set an €80 million price tag on their star man, having rejected West Ham's club-record offer, while Arsene Wenger refused to deny interest earlier in the week, but Aulas is now confident Lacazette will stay.
"We had a few calls, but he will stay with us," Aulas told reporters following Lyon's 2-2 draw with Bourg en Bresse in a pre-season friendly.
"The coach [Bruno Genesio] wishes to rely on him. And I also feel he wants to stay."
Lacazette, who finished Ligue 1 top scorer in 2014-15 with 27 goals in 33 games, has been at Lyon since he was 12 years old and is tied to the club until 2019. - Goal
