Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has congratulated Senator Hope Uzodinma on his Supreme Court victory which declared him the winner of the March 19, 2019, Imo State governorship election.
He also hailed the All Progressives Party (APC) in the state for getting things done via the constitutionally stipulated judicial process.
According to him, the uimous decision of the 7-member panel of the highest court in Nigeria has proven that the APC won the elections without any doubt.
His words, “This is a victory for democracy, the rule of law, the All Progressives Congress and the good people of Imo State.
“The new Governor-elect should be magimous in victory and see his mandate as a call to serve his people conscientiously and to the best of his ability.”
He then wished future Governor, Hope a successful tenure in office.
