HP's four latest flagship laptops, the thin and light Spectre, the 2-in-1 convertible Envy x360 Hybrid and two Envy models with 15.6- or 17.3-inch displays, debuted April 5 for users who are seeking portables that be custom-configured to meet their work or personal needs. The new Spectre is just 0.41 inches thick, features a 13.3-inch full HD display and an aluminum chassis, and weighs 2.45 pounds. The Envy x360 Hybrid is an updated version of an earlier model and features a 15.6-inch display, weighs 4.5 pounds and is 0.74 inches thick. The redesigned HP Envy 15.6-inch laptop is a half-pound lighter than the previous generation at 4.4 pounds and is 0.70 inches thick, while the 17.3-inch version weighs 6.6 pounds and is 1 inch thick. Spectre preorders begin April 25 through HP.com and Best Buy and start at $1,170, while the HP Envy x360 is available on HP.com on June 1 and BestBuy.com on May 29 and start at $680.
