HTC's new flagship smartphone, the HTC 10, was unveiled on April 12 with features built to take on the best of the competition from Apple, LG, Samsung and others. The HTC 10 is quite a step up from the HTC One M9 that it replaces, incorporating a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, vastly improved front and rear cameras, and upgraded audio capabilities. The latest handset has a metal unibody design and runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It will be available in the United States from mobile carriers including Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless, which will announce colors, availability and pricing in the near future. Preorders for an unlocked version of the HTC 10 can be made immediately through HTC.com for shipment in early May. The unlocked phone, which will come in Glacier Silver and Carbon Gray colors and cost $699, will work on the AT&T and T-Mobile networks. The phone also comes with a 12-month damage and accident protection plan that includes one free phone replacement for a cracked screen or water damage. Peruse or more details.
