Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has asked Kwankwasiyya movement members to unite with him to develop the state.
He revealed this recently as he received the state Chairman of the Peopleβs Democratic Party (PDP), Rabiβu Sulaiman-Bichi who defected from the PDP to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to him, other Kwankwasiyya movement members should come back home and join hands with APC to take Kano State to greater heights.
He added that he is currently celebrating the burial of PDP in the state.
His words, βThose who took us to Election Petition Tribunal, to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, had only exercised their constitutional rights, as simple as that, hence our decision to invite the opposition to come and join hands with us for the development of the state,β
βToday is a historic day, because we're celebrating the burial of PDP and Kwankwasiyya movement following the defection of the founder of Kwankwasiyya movement,
Rabiβu Sulaiman-Bichi added, βWe believe in Gov. Abdullahi Gandujeβs genuine commitment in developing state, that is why we resolved to join hands with him to develop our dear state.
βSo we're today answering the call of President Muhammadu Buhari and governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
βThe infrastructural development we're seeing all over the state and other human-centred policies like free and compulsory primary and secondary education are some of the major reasons that informed our decision to honour the invitation.β
