The Edo State Governor, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, says he has no hand in the impeachment of the former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Victor Edoror.
Governor Oshiomhole made the statement when the new Speaker and members of the House of Assembly came to inform him of the change in the leadership of the House.
He denied speculations that he orchestrated the impeachment, garnered support for a preferred candidate, as a move to impeach the Deputy Governor, Pius Odubu.
Earlier, the new Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Mrs Elizabeth Ativie, disclosed that they had decided to keep the impeachment plot from the Governor, as they did not want him to discourage them.
