El Hadji Diouf, who was signed by Roy Keane in 2008, has hit out at his time at the Stadium of Light and has called Anton Ferdinand "the number one wa***r"

El Hadji Diouf has described his time at Sunderland as “sh**ty” and has labelled his former team-mates as “little wa***rs”.

The Senegalese striker was signed by Roy Keane in July 2008 but left for Blackburn Rovers after just six months at the Stadium of Light having failed to score a goal in 16 appearances.

Diouf, who also spent two seasons at Liverpool, also revealed a bust-up with Anton Ferdinand during his short spell at the club.

“I spent six sh**ty months there,” Diouf told So Foot.

“We were not a team. There were little wa***rs in the group who thought they were the best but they were crap. Anton, he was the number one wa***r.
“We were not fighting, I sorted him out, before we were separated.

“I said to him, ‘Let’s go to the gym, I will take you on.’ He did not want to. I said, ‘You are like your brother... you walk like him, you eat like him - write your own story.’ Inevitably, it was difficult in terms of atmosphere.”
