The Sweden international, who won Goal’s Paris Saint-Germain Player of the Year award after a remarkable campaign, revealed on Friday that he will leave the Ligue 1 champions at the end of the season, with Saturday’s tie against Nantes the last he will play at the Parc des Princes.

However, it is not the definitive end for Ibra in the French capital, as the club confirmed the 34-year-old will return in a coaching role once his playing career comes to an end.

And the striker, who won league titles with Ajax, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter and Barcelona before his four Ligue 1 crowns with PSG, has vowed that his glory days are not yet over.

“I never look back because what has happened is the past," he told Goal. "I am here to write history. I did it and I'll do it again. I look forward because if I look back I'll start to think and I do not need that.

“If I look further back, I'll be really proud and really happy because the trophies are there.

“I do my job and I do it well.”

Les Parisiens’ all-time top goalscorer has finished top of the Ligue 1 goal charts again this season, for the third time in the last four years, playing a pivotal role in his side winning the title and also reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

And Ibrahimovic, who broke Pauleta's record to become PSG's all-time leading goalscorer earlier this season, believes he is still in great shape physically, which has propelled him to another "magical" campaign.

"I'm good, I'm really very well. The season has been magical, fantastic for me and for the team," he added. "Physically, I was 100 percent, that's why I was able to play like I did.

"If you are not 100% physically, it is difficult to play as you wish and especially difficult to have big performances. This year, I worked harder than I was used to working. I have always worked well but this season I worked really, really hard.

"I harvest the fruit now and I am very happy. I made a lot of sacrifices and the season was exactly as I wanted it to be."

Failure to progress past the last eight of the Champions League for the fourth time in a row has proved another blip in PSG’s campaign, but Sweden’s record goalscorer maintains his side still have the hunger to progress and challenge for the European crown.

"We were all very disappointed with the elimination from the Champions League. We have not won this competition, but we might have a great opportunity to do so this year. We want to win the Champions League as much as others. But we cannot always do it. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose - it's the game.

"All of the teams who should have to win this year have been eliminated. First it was PSG, then Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

"I always said it was a matter of time before we win it. It is in these moments that we must make the right decisions about what will happen. No matter the strength of your team. You can be the best, it does not mean that you will win. It's just a matter of time and decisions."

Ibra has played in five different countries, winning titles in four with six clubs, but he says the atmosphere in the dressing room at the Parc des Princes is the best he has ever experienced.

"We are all very close. Really. There is a great atmosphere in the team. I played in many clubs, I met some fantastic players but the atmosphere here is better than that I have ever had, seen or felt elsewhere even though it was in other teams. It's a great feeling.

"The group is very strong, the players are very professional, they all work to meet the goals and remain positive in any circumstance. Players want to sacrifice for their teammates. It is this strong mentality that is important.

"No matter what is said outside the club, outside the team, in the newspapers ... that's just bullshit. What is written is what people would like us to be, but it's not like that in reality. On the contrary, it makes us even stronger. Between us, we laugh when we see it. It does not prevent us from playing our game."
