Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne has said his club should not block any potential Arsenal move for current assistant manager, Mikel Arteta, if the London club comes for him. Arteta, an ex-Arsenal player, is now the main choice to take over from Unai Emery at the Emirates Stadium after losing out to the ex PSG coach when Arsene Wenger was sacked. Even if Pep appreciates Artetaβs input at City, KDB feels the club should not stop the Spaniard from pursuing his personal ambitions when the time is right. His words, βHe came here three years ago, and had to find his way a little bit, because to transition from player to coach is a little bit different,β βHe is finding his role really, really good right now. I guess one day he will want to be a head coach β I donβt know when but heβs helping the team in the way he thinks he can help and is doing a good job. βHe is helping us a lot, but if he gets a good opportunity to be a head coach, and he thinks itβs time for him to take that, I think as a club you need to let somebody go. βYou want to grow as a head coach, I guess. If he doesnβt, itβs his decision, but why, otherwise, start coaching in that way? βItβs difficult for me to explain. Whatever he wants to do, you have to do it β if you want to grow you need to take opportunities when they come."
