The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has ordered that a thorough investigation be conducted into the killing of four policemen by suspected gunmen in Sabon Gida Ora, Edo State, on Saturday.
This was disclosed in Abuja on Monday in a statement by Force Spokesman, Jimoh Moshood.
According him, the police would pay N5million to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the remaining perpetrators of the Abuja killing and Sabon Gida Ora attack.
The four policemen were ambushed, killed and burnt in their patrol van by the attackers.
Seven policemen were ambushed and killed by suspected gunmen at a roundabout in Galadimawa area of Abuja on July 3.
He said investigation conducted so far had not established any link between the two attacks.
