New Imo Deputy Governor Callistus Ekenze
Calistus Ekenze has been sworn in as Deputy Governor of Imo state, following his nomination by Governor Rochas Okorocha.
The ceremony was held at the Sam Mbakwe expanded Exco Chambers of the Government House in Owerri.
This comes after 19 out of the 27 members of the Imo State House of Assembly impeached Eze Madumere on Monday over gross misconduct.
The former Deputy Governor was accused of absence without reasons for a period of three months and a failure to perform constitutional duties.
