Former Presidential Adviser on National Assembly Matters, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa has congratulated Nigerians as it clocks 55 .
In a statement she issued and signed on Wednesday, she urged Nigerians to embrace love and be united in defending the hard earned democracy which has ushered in dividends of democracy and the rule of law.
Ita Giwa advised Nigerians to work harder and be determined to create more local and global impact among the comity of nations, noting that, Nigeria needs dynamic and dedicated leadership to sustain her growth and development.
While harping on nation building, the Bakassi political leader added that Nigerians still need to improve the way they relate to one another and urged the people to begin to see themselves first as Nigerians, rather tha one ethnic group or the other.
As stated by Ita Giwa, the future of Nigeria lies in its ability to achieve unity and peace and that those in leadership positions should be exemplary to their followers, admitting that, unity and peace would be much easier to attain, if leaders at all levels allow justice and fair play to govern their actions.
