Chipmaker Intel has introduced that its chief government, Brian Krzanich, is stepping down with rapid impact due to "a violation of Intel's non-fraternisation policy".
He had been within the put up since May 2013.
Intel mentioned an inquiry had revealed that Mr Krzanich had had a consensual relationship with an Intel worker, which was towards firm guidelines.
His successor has been named as Robert Swan, at present the corporate's chief monetary officer.
The firm mentioned the related coverage utilized to all managers.
"Given the expectation that all employees will respect Intel's values and adhere to the company's code of conduct, the board has accepted Mr Krzanich's resignation."
