From this coming Monday until Friday, the best players in the world will be pitted against each other in Goal's Yearbook Battle.
The week-long knockout tournament, which will be fuelled by the votes of Goal readers, will feature 16 fantasy teams comprised of players born in every year from 1981 until 1996.
That means Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo and former Manchester United team-mate Wayne Rooney will be paired together once again in the 1985 team, while the 1987 line-up boasts a dreamy front three of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Gonzalo Higuain.
All 16 Yearbook Battle line-ups, which have been decided by Goal editors, can be seen in this comprehensive squad gallery - but we've posted 1992 edition below to illustrate just how the sides have been assembled.
Readers can vote for who they want to win in each match-up in Monday's last 16, Tuesday's quarter-finals, Wednesday's semi-finals and the final showdown on Thursday. The Yearbook Battle champions will be announced at 12pm UK time on Friday, August 5.
Monday's last 16 fixtures are: 1981 v 1987 (Ibrahimovic v Messi); 1984 v 1991 (Iniesta v Griezmann); 1985 v 1989 (Ronaldo v Bale); 1988 v 1995 (Aguero v Martial); 1982 v 1992 (Kaka v Neymar); 1986 v 1990 (Hulk v Balotelli); 1983 v 1996 (Van Persie v Iwobi); and 1993 v 1994 (Pogba v Sterling).
