Since Seyi Shay became a household name in Nigeria, she has been compared on several occasions with Tiwa Savage.

The Murda star doesn’t feel pleased with this. Earlier this year, Seyi Shay was interviewed on a popular TV show and she declared that she doesn’t know Tiwa Savage in person and that they are just colleagues
“I don’t really know her personally” she stated in the interview
In 2013, Seyi Shay granted another interview where she said: “Tiwa and I are sisters, we chat everyday on BBM.”
Before Tiwa’s marital woes started, she was interviewed on a radio station and asked what she thinks about Seyi Shay joining her as a Pepsi Ambassador and she had this to say: “Having an interview with this girl is crazy. I knew you were going to drop this in anyway. Everybody has heard”
Seyi Shay wasn’t pleased with Tiwa’s response, she took to her Instagram page to express her grouse. “Go listen to the audio, it hurts”
She later deleted her post and explained herself in another post.
“I had to delete that post because people are now talking about things and people that have nothing to do with me. In reality, I don’t care. I live my life; mind my business and I am having fun with it. People should not be so concerned with the issues in this industry.”
Tiwa posted on her Instagram page this week after a long silence, but she is yet to say a word on the brewing disaffection between them.
