The Gunners great feels the shortcomings of a miserable campaign for the Red Devils means the Dutchman is nailed on to face the chop at Old Trafford
Thierry Henry believes there is no way for Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal to escape the "impossible situation" of facing the sack in the summer.
United host old foes Arsenal on Sunday looking to avenge a 3-0 defeat at the Emirates earlier this season, a result which knocked them off the top of the Premier League table.
Van Gaal has since come under severe pressure as his side crashed out of the Champions League at the group stages and are seemingly already out of the Premier League title race.
And Henry feels such shortcomings mean there is no way back for the 64-year-old next season.
Van Gaal: Arsenal are on a different level
"It is easy to forget the Red Devils were top when they went to Arsenal in October," the Gunners legend wrote in The Sun.
"But they conceded three goals in the first 20 minutes at the Emirates [losing 3-0] and the alarm bells started to ring.
"Now Van Gaal is having to deal with constant speculation about his future and the possibility of Jose Mourinho taking his job.
"It’s an impossible situation for the manager and I can't see a way that Van Gaal can survive beyond this summer."
Arsenal are five points adrift of Premier League leaders Leicester City, while United are 10 points further back in sixth.
