Senate President Bukola Saraki
Senate President Bukola Saraki has despatched his aide-de-camp (ADC) to the police headquarters in Abuja to acquire the invitation asking him to look over the April 5 bank robberies in Offa, Kwara state.
In a tweet on Monday, Saraki mentioned he's sending his ADC to gather the police invitation letter in order that he might honour the invitation.
He mentioned: ”I've simply knowledgeable my ADC to get the a call for participation from @PoliceNG in respect of the allegations raised yesterday — in order that I can instantly honour the alleged invitation.”
The Nigeria police had on Sunday in an assertion disclosed that Saraki was needed for questioning after some suspects allegedly linked him to the robberies that claimed no less than 33 lives in Offa.
The Senate President via his spokesman, Yusuph Olaniyonu, on Sunday denied any hyperlink with the suspects and described the police assertion as “a baseless allegation and another ploy by the Police to implicate him by all means.”
