James Rodriguez was forced off in the second half of Colombia's 2-0 win over the United States with an apparent shoulder injury.
The Colombian playmaker went down awkwardly and went off for treatment immediately. The Colombia medical team appeared to be working on Rodriguez’s shoulder as if it were dislocated.
Though he returned briefly, Rodriguez was replaced in the 73rd minute by Guillermo Celis.
Rodriguez had converted a first-half penalty to give Colombia a 2-0 lead after Cristian Zapata had opened the scoring in the eighth minute.
