Immediate past president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, has commissioned a flyover to be constructed in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.

The flyover project was executed by the Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson’s restoration government.

Performing the commissioning ceremony today, the former President stated that the construction of the flyover had given the state capital a face lift and had upgraded Yenagoa from a town to an emerging city.

Jonathan stated the Governor’s political will to embark on such a daring project revealed his love for the growth and development of the state.

The project is poised to bring relief to the usual traffic gridlock experienced along the Ox-Bow Lake axis of the state capital which is one of the star projects of the present administration.

Also commissioned is the Azikoro Road dualisation project which brought respite to road users in the heart of the state capital.

Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, who commissioned the dualised Azikoro Road, urged Bayelsans to reciprocate the developmental strides of the Governor by casting their votes in his favour on December 5.

Governor Dickson had at the beginning of his campaigns for a second term in office, assured Bayelsans that he would not only ask for their votes, but would also commission most of his projects which were littered all around the state.
