Immediate previous President Goodluck Jonathan has described the late Chairman of Punch Wale Aboderin as one whose legacies had been for a “just and equitable society.”
Aboderin died earlier this week with Jonathan lauding his contributions to nationwide growth particularly within the media.
In an assertion on Friday, Jonathan prayed God to grant the deceased household and Punch the fortitude to bear the loss.
According to him, the “Late Aboderin will likely be sorely missed due to his deep dedication to nationwide progress and the convenience with which he reached out and made buddies throughout regional strains and non secular ties.
“He was a man who invested vastly in the reason for the odd individuals and labored altruistically for public good.
“The high value he placed on social capital was evident in the height to which he took Punch; expeditiously re-positioning the newspaper as a credible voice for equity, national unity, good governance and democracy.”
“As a sports activities fanatic, he willingly channeled his vitality and sources within the pursuit of his curiosity, an ardour that positively mirrored in his substantial contributions to sports activities growth, particularly the sport of basketball which he drastically lifted.
“He will be remembered for his impressive legacy of hard work, philanthropy and passion for a just and equitable society.”
