Dame Julie Walters stars in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again
Dame Julie Walters says when she heard Mamma Mia! was getting a sequel, she apprehensive it would be "awful".
The British actress, who performs Rosie within the movies, is again for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, alongside different stars of the unique 2008 movie.
Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried and Pierce Bros star within the sequel with new solid members Lily James and Cher.
Dame Julie advised Good Housekeeping: "I couldn't see how it could work and what they could do with us."
She added: "My first response when my agent advised me they have been making Mamma Mia 2 was, 'oh God no, it'll be terrible'.
"But the script was so good. I think it is fantastic. I think it is better than the first one."
Mamma Mia!, based mostly on the musical of the identical title, made $615m (£466m) on the field workplace.
