The Porsche 997 GT3 RS was (and still is) an extremely capable track-tool, although in this day and age, all models can be subjected to some improvements.
In order to keep it fresh and crisp, the owner commissioned KAEGE GmbH to come up with a track weapon that could also remain relevant as a roadworthy car. Bear in mind though that this Porsche is scheduled to receive a 520 PS 4.3-litre engine swap afterwards this year, however, for now, KAEGE focused its knowledge on making it more unique and faster by shaving some weight.
So, after M + M muffler system with fan type exhaust manifold and 200 cell cats was installed, the car gained an extra 8 PS and lost 7 Kg of weight at the same time. Another 7 PS were purportedly gained via a carbon-fiber air box.
KAEGE even changed the hydraulic pump and its position (from the rear to the front) with an electrical power steering rig in order to optimize the vehicle’s weight distribution.
Additional modifications include a CAE short shifter, 9x19/12.5x19 BBS rims wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires (which reduce the unsprung mass by 9 Kg, while making the car look like a full-on racer), plus an aluminum made triple KW competition suspension and a Liteblox lithium-ion battery which shave an additional 15 Kg off the machine.
The interior, on the other hand, received a retro-style checkered fabric upholstery and a steering wheel taken off 4-litre GT3 variant. Completing the customizations are a travel and helmet bag, matching the new interior.
