The Grand Khadi of Bauchi state, Khadi Ningi, on Monday sworn in Audu Sule Katagum because the Deputy Governor of Bauchi state, following his current screening and affirmation by the Bauchi state House of Assembly.
The swearing-in was held on the Multi-purpose Indoor Sports Hall, Bauchi with the administration of the oaths of allegiance and workplace by the Grand Khadi within the absence of the State Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar.
In his acceptance speech shortly after taking the oath of workplace, Katagum stated, “I want to assure the people of Bauchi that we will work for you. In fact, it is now that we will start working for you. There is nothing we are faced with now, than to hit the ground running, to look for the people and meet with them to return the governor back to power for a second term.”
In his handle, the Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar, charged his new deputy to abide by the oath of workplace, allegiance and abide by the rule of legislation and code of conduct within the discharge of his duties.
He then urged the brand new deputy governor to be loyal and assist him within the working of the affairs of the state in keeping with the structure of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.
