The News Agency of Nigeria gathered that the woman, who is the mother of Alhaji Yusha’u Kebbe, the All Nigeria People’s Party governorship candidate in the state during the 2011 polls, had rejoined her family.

Mr Sabo Kurawa, spokesman for the Police Command in the state, told today in Sokoto that no ransome was paid for her release.

“The Command can authoritatively confirm that the kidnapped woman has been released.

“There was no payment of ransom before she was relesed and this is the information at hand for now,” Kurawa stated.
