The Knicks are close to a deal with the Chicago Bulls to acquire point guard Derrick Rose, a league source confirmed to Newsday’s Al Iannazzone.
The Knicks will reportedly send Robin Lopez, Jerian Grant and Jose Calderon to the Bulls in exchange for Rose, shooting guard Justin Holiday and a 2017 second-round pick.
The deal was first reported by the Chicago Tribune and Yahoo! Sports.
Rose was the 2010-11 NBA MVP but has struggled to stay on the court in recent years. He has missed a total of 119 games in the last three seasons. He tore his left ACL in the first round of the 2011-12 playoffs and tore his right meniscus during the 2013-14 season.
