Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State who is seeking the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to run for a second-term, has declared that his performance in office would ensure victory for him in the party primary and ultimately the election.
Wada made the declaration yesterday at the party national secretariat while returning his nomination form.
He was represented by his deputy, Yomi Awoniyi.
As stated by the deputy governor, the erstwhile ruling party was not bothered by the threat of its main rival in Kogi State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remove it from Lugard House.
"Let me tell you in all sincerity, and I will not want to deceive myself, the PDP is a party to beat in Kogi State," Awoniyi stated.
"We are not in opposition in Kogi State. Our party has delivered credible dividends of democracy to the good people of Kogi State and they know it.,"
