Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso
Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso has commended Acting President Yemi Osinbajo for sacking the former Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura.
Daura was on Tuesday sacked by Osinbajo after ordering his men to invade the National Assembly, preventing lawmakers from gaining access into the complex.
Speaking to Famzn News thought his Senior Legislative Aide, Aminu Abdulsalam, Kwankwaso said the sack was in order.
He said: “It was the right thing to be done. What they did was a coup.
“You cannot storm the National Assembly in that manner…with operatives masking their faces. It was like a commando operation, as if they were in Sambisa forest.”
Asked what Senators opposed to the impeachment of Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy Ike Ekweremadu were doing to stop the move, Abdulsalam said the lawmakers were on alert.
“Yes they are all on alert, very vigilant. The entire world is looking and watching what is happening.
“The international country are interest in Nigeria because they know that anything that happens here will have effect on the West Africa region and the continent,” he also said.
