Former Kano governor Senator Kwankwaso
The Kano state Branch of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is confident that former governor of the state Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso would soon rejoin the party.
Chairman of the PDP in the state, Mas’ud El-Jibrial Doguwa, said discussions were ongoing to bring the former governor back.

Kwankwaso is one of the aggrieved bigwigs of the ruling party.
“The consultations are at the national level to convince the former governor to dump the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and return to his former party ahead of the conduct of 2019 general election,” he told Daily Trust newspapers.
“But the Kano state wing of the party has made all the necessary arrangements to receive Senator Kwankwaso.”
