The Mike Adenuga Foundation (MAF), established by business mogul, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr, has donated the sum of N1.5 billion to the government to support Nigeria’s fight against the global Coronavirus pandemic, otherwise known as COVID-19.
The breakdown is N1billion to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) which is coordinating efforts to raise funds from corporate bodies to support the initiatives aimed at fighting the epidemic in the country and N500 million to the Lagos State Government, which has recorded the most cases thus far.
Mrs. Bella Disu, Executive Vice Chairman of Globacom, presented the N500 million cheque to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in Lagos today, Monday, while a representative of the Foundation presented the cheque for N1 billion to the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele in Abuja.
