Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure says it has opened bids for the construction of Brown Street, Oshodi, adding that seven construction companies had responded to the advertisement calling for bids for the project.
In a statement, the ministry stated the companies were Wetland Construction Nigeria Limited, RCF Nigeria Limited, Jallis Construction Company Limited, LUBRICK Construction Limited, Strabic Construction Limited and Consultek Resources Nigeria Limited.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Caster Bade-Adebowale, stated the process was transparent, as stipulated by the procurement law adopted by the state government.
βThe road is one of the strategic roads identified by the state government for construction and has been visited by the governor in August 2015,β he also stated.
The ministry stated the road is a rigid concrete, covering 690 metres and has adequate provision for drains, culverts, outfall drains, service ducts and street lighting.
βThe project, when awarded, envisages a completion period of 12 months. It is also the second rigid pavement road to be undertaken by the state government,β Bade- Adebowale stated.
