Saturday’s 3-1 win over Everton was a historic match for Leicester City as they picked up the Premier League trophy after the fixture and showed off their new kits for the first time – including the badge they will wear that proclaims them champions.
The emblem typically adorns the shirts of one of the big four, and with odds of 5000/1 of the Foxes claiming the title at the beginning of the season, Claudio Ranieri’s men have made for the most unlikely winners.
Yet next term they will have the honour of wearing the golden lion’s head on their shirts, having picked up their maiden top-flight success.
It is the first time the league's new badge, which comes as part of the rebranding for next season, has been seen on a jersey.
