Luis Alberto has been the subject of enquiries from Wolves and QPR as Sevilla have moved on from their pursuit of the Liverpool midfielder.
The Europa League champions made an offer of £2 million for the player they sold to the Reds in the summer of 2013, which was firmly rejected.
They focused on other targets, securing Paulo Henrique Ganso, Franco Vazquez, Hiroshi Kiyotake, Joaquin Correa and a loan deal for Matias Kranevitter to fortify their midfield.
Alberto is now mulling over interest from the Championship, with the Molineux side and the Hoops considering whether to formalise their approach for the Spaniard.
Aston Villa are also thought to be assessing the merits of recruiting the 23-year-old.
Liverpool initially wanted a minimum of £7m for Alberto, but are willing to accept a package offer of £6m, inclusive of extras.
The midfielder turned in brilliant performances on loan at Deportivo last season, where he netted six times and registered eight assists in 31 appearances.
