It has been a tough couple of weeks for England fans. Having been dumped out of Euro 2016 by minnows Iceland, Roy Hodgson then stepped down with a suspiciously well-timed departing speech.
It has left the FA chiefs scratching their heads as to who to should replace him. A number of names were thrown into the hat, with Gareth Southgate leading the way.
However, the former Middlesbrough boss rejected the notion before more experienced names cropped up.
But of all the names suggested for the vacant role, Ryan Giggs has put forward the most suspicious of them all.
The ex-Wales international, who worked as Louis van Gaal’s assistant at Old Trafford last season, suggested to ITV that the former Netherlands boss could take the hot seat.
Needless to say, those watching were less than impressed with the idea of LVG being national manager after the tedious campaign the Red Devils endured last season.
