Less than 24 hours to the New Year, a middle-aged man reportedly committed suicide by setting himself ablaze at his Gwarimpa residence in Abuja on Tuesday.
Though details of the incident were still sketchy as at the time of filing this report, Punch reports that the smoke from the man's apartment attracted neighbours, who on getting to his residence, found his charred remains.
Another report says he did it to protest Nigeria's economic situation.
However, the police has evacuated the corpse to the mortuary of the General Hospital, Kubwa, Abuja.
