Red Devils supporters once again taunted their Liverpool counterparts ahead of their clash in the Europa League after singing widely condemned chants at Anfield
Manchester United fans have further inflamed tensions ahead of their Europa League tie against Liverpool by hanging a banner reading 'murderers' on the M602 motorway.
The banner also says '20x' in reference to the Red Devils' 20 Premier League titles and '15.4.89', the date of the Hillsborough stadium disaster which caused the deaths of 96 people.
During the first leg of the European clash at Anfield, United supporters were heard chanting 'The Sun was right, you're murderers' in reference to a disproven front-page story claiming Liverpool fans were responsible for the tragedy. The M602 enters Manchester from the west and is a road most Reds fans travelling to Old Trafford will use on Thursday evening.
