It said: “Following the shocking events in Manchester yesterday, we have been informed that one of our former students, Georgina Callander, has died as a result of injuries sustained. “Georgina was a lovely young student who was very popular with her peers and the staff and always created the most of the opportunities she had at the school. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to Georgina’s family at this terrible time, and we think especially of her brothers Harry and Daniel who are also former students of the school. “All of our students will gather together today for a time of prayer and reflection and to give thanks for the life of Georgina.” Update shared by Georgina's old school Georgina, a keen concert-goer who recently turned eighteen, tweeted Ariana on Sunday to mention she was “so excited” to see her in concert. Her Instagram profile shows many photos of her meeting her idols, including the region hitmaker herself. Actor Sean Maguire took to Twitter to pay his respects to the “young and sweet” teenager who reportedly died in hospital with her mum at her side. He said: “Just met this girl in April, she was killed last night in Manchester. My love to her and all the families of the victims.” Her friends paid tribute to a “ray of sunshine” who will “be lost so much”. Sophie Marsh, who had earlier tweeted to mention Georgina was in hospital with her mum at her side, said: “To my beautiful best friend I hope you rest in peace my darling. i love you so much and will always miss you. “There was not one bad bone in her body she was a true ray of sunshine and loved everyone for who they were.” Greater Manchester Police confirmed twenty two people have been killed and around fifty nine wounded after a terrorist detonated an explosion in a very busy lobby near to the arena at around 10.33pm on Monday night. Hundreds of people - several of whom were young girls - were going the Ariana Grande concert when they heard “loud bangs”. One person, Andy holey from liverpool, said he was “thrown 30ft in the air” by the blast, that also left nuts and bolts scattered across the floor.
