Zinedine Zidane has been handed a boost ahead of Los Blancos' upcoming double-header against Celta Vigo and Roma as two key players returned to training on Thursday
Real Madrid have been handed a boost in their preparations to face Celta Vigo this weekend after both Marcelo and Luka Modric returned to training on Thursday.
The duo trained with the rest of their team-mates and could feature this Saturday when Real host sixth-placed Celta at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Full-back Marcelo missed Real's last two outings due to a calf problem, while a foot complaint kept Modric out of Wednesday's 3-1 La Liga win over bottom-placed Levante.
Real have had to field natural right-back Danilo and centre-back Nacho at left-back in Marcelo's absense, thus the Brazilian's imminent return will be a major source of relief for Zinedine Zidane.
Should Marcelo and Modric fail to recover in time to face Celta, they could make their comebacks in the second leg of Real's Champions League last-16 tie with Roma next Tuesday instead.
Real are favourites to reach the quarter-finals of Europe's elite club competition after securing a 2-0 away win against Roma in the first leg at the Stadio Olimpico last month.
