Anthony Martial has been awarded Manchester United's 2015/16 Goal of the Season for his debut strike against Liverpool.
The goal was one of 10 shortlisted on the official website, alongside another Martial effort, before being included in the final Twitter poll and subsequently being voted the winner.
The 20-year-old, who has scored nine Premier League goals since arriving from Monaco last summer, thanked Louis van Gaal for allowing him the opportunity after the United chief introduced Martial with 20 minutes to play.
"It was a fantastic atmosphere on the day and thankfully the manager had confidence in me to put me on," the forward said.
"The guys really backed me up and it’s thanks to them that I was able to score. Scoring goals earlier in the season certainly helped me to settle in and I had the support of the staff and the players which really helped too.
"I want to score more next season, that’s normal."
