Follow the expansion of the Sports Series range and the release of the 570GT, McLaren estimates a sales boom.
Throughout 2016, the Woking-based firm is hoping to sell at least 3,000 cars, nearly double the 1,654 units it delivered in 2015. Ultimately, McLaren intends on hitting 4,000 annual sales, with the Sports Series the driving force behind these high figures.
This year will mark the first full 12 months that the 540C, 570S and 570 GT will be available to customers, offering buyers three serious alternatives to the offerings from Audi, Lamborghini and, of course, Porsche.
While similar high-end brands like Aston Martin, Lamborghini and Lotus will expand production by offering performance-focused SUVs, McLaren has ruled out entering this segment, instead preferring to cater to sports cars enthusiasts with an expanded range of derivatives. Next year, a fourth version will be added to the Sports Series in the form of a the 540/570 Spider.
