The forward quite literally passed up the perfect chance to score his 300th La Liga goal by tapping the ball to his team-mate to fire home
Lionel Messi repeated Johan Cruyff's famous penalty routine by passing to Luis Suarez from the spot during Barcelona's 6-1 win over Celta Vigo on Sunday.
The 28-year-old scored the opening goal of the game - his 299th league goal - and was then handed the perfect opportunity to fire home his 300th strike from the penalty spot.

But just as he appeared set to convert, the Argentina captain instead passed the ball to Suarez, who fired home to complete his hat-trick. Further goals from Ivan Rakitic and Neymar completed a resounding 6-1 win as the Catalans tightened their grip on top spot in La Liga.
