GLENDALE, Ariz. — Mexico manager Juan Carlos Osorio has accused Uruguay center back Jose Maria Gimenez of verbally insulting him after their Copa America match on Sunday.
It was a match that saw both teams lose a player to a sending off and also saw fights break out between supporters in the stands. After the heated contest, many Uruguay players surrounded referee Enrique Caceres.

Osorio said that Gimenez "approached me, insulted me and went away."
"It was disrespectful, inappropriate from a professional who not only plays for one of the best clubs, Atletico Madrid, but also for one of the best national teams in the world and this type of behavior shouldn't be accepted in professional soccer," Osorio said in his post-match news conference.
The manager said his only crime was directing his players to attack Gimenez's weak side, the defender's right in Osorio's mind.
Mexico won the match 3-1, taking a lead in Group C ahead of matches with Jamaica and Venezuela.
