Shocked Susan Davies, 49, stormed into her room to find the duvet in flames as the sunlight glared from the mirror.
The hospital secretary, from South Wales, leapt into action – managing to beat the fire from her covers before it managed to spread to the rest of the house.

She said "I was going to have a shower but thought the house seemed a bit stuffy and went to open the windows."
"I went into the bedroom and there was smoke coming from the quilt."
