Presidential aspirant Kingsley Moghalu has said the laws of the country must be followed if Senate President Bukola Saraki must be impeached.
Saraki’s impeachment has been in the news after he dumped the All Progressives Congress for the Peoples Democratic Party.
Moghalu who is a presidential aspirant of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), said this on Wednesday in Lagos.
“We must follow the constitution. Of course, the constitution that we have currently, we must follow it,” the former Central Bank of Nigeria boss told Channels TV.
“Anything outside of it is unconstitutional. We ought to be a nation of laws and not a nation of men.”
He added that “Nigerians must fundamentally retire the present political leadership class in Nigeria if this country is to go forward.
“They must look away from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and look at a new crop of younger generational leaders who have a vision and experience to be able to fix our basic problems.”
